This Privacy Policy explains how ComptZen collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the public website, web dashboard, API, and mobile applications.

1. Information we collect

ComptZen collects the information needed to create and operate your account and finance workspace.

  • Account details, such as full name, email address, password hash, role, avatar, currency, language, and theme preferences.
  • Personal finance data you enter, such as income, expenses, leisure spending, categories, subscriptions, savings goals, todos, shopping items, friendly loans, credits, and calendar entries.
  • Shared workspace data, such as collocation workspaces, invitations, members, shared expenses, balances, and settlements.
  • Technical data required to run the service, such as API tokens, device/session information, timestamps, and basic server logs.
  • Messages submitted through the public contact form.

2. How we use information

  • To authenticate your account and keep your session active securely.
  • To display dashboards, balances, charts, category breakdowns, recent activity, reminders, and workspace summaries.
  • To synchronize the mobile app with the ComptZen web dashboard through the ComptZen API.
  • To send local or push-style reminders for subscription renewals, todos, shopping items, and shared workspace invitations when enabled.
  • To provide admin tools for authorized administrators, including user, contact, payment, plan, and platform summary management.
  • To maintain security, troubleshoot bugs, and improve reliability.

3. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal finance data. Your private finance information is only used to provide the ComptZen service.

Shared workspace information may be visible to accepted members of the same workspace, depending on the collocation features you use.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the security of ComptZen, or to prevent misuse of the service.

4. Security

ComptZen uses account authentication, hashed passwords, bearer API tokens, HTTPS/TLS transport, and access controls to protect user data. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so you should use a strong password and keep your credentials private.

ComptZen is a personal finance organization tool. It does not provide banking, investment, tax, credit, insurance, or financial advice.

5. Data retention

We keep account and finance records while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request account or data deletion through the public contact form. Some technical records may be retained for security, legal, or operational reasons.

6. Your choices

  • You can update your profile, currency, language, theme, and password from the app or web dashboard.
  • You can add, edit, or delete finance records such as transactions, categories, todos, shopping items, subscriptions, savings goals, loans, and credits.
  • You can accept, decline, leave, or manage collocation workspaces according to your role.
  • You can disable reminder notifications in the mobile app settings.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as ComptZen evolves. When changes are made, the “Last updated” date will be revised.

8. Contact

For privacy questions, account requests, or data deletion requests, use the official ComptZen contact form. We do not process privacy requests through a public support email address.
